Position Summary

In this role, you will primarily be accountable for the operation of all server and storage related IT infrastructure technologies for the entire global organization. This responsibility includes the design, installation, administration, monitoring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and disposal of all servers, storage systems, backup and recovery systems, and virtual infrastructure. This role is also responsible for managing Active Directory, file shares, group policies, and other system administrative functions.

This position reports to the Director of Global IT Infrastructure & Security.

What You'll Be Doing

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working individually and collaboratively, staying on top of tasks, and making a meaningful impact across teams and projects. Below are some key responsibilities of the role:

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and support enterprise server platforms -- including HPE, Nutanix, and Cisco UCS -- with a deep understanding of compute, architecture, firmware, and performance tuning.
  • Administer and optimize enterprise storage platforms (NetApp SAN, Pure Storage), including block/file storage, replication, deduplication, and tiering strategies.
  • Manage and enhance VMware virtualization environments, including clustering, high availability (HA), and lifecycle management.
  • Demonstrate deep expertise in how servers, storage (SAN/NAS), and network infrastructure interoperate -- including TCP/IP, VLANs, multipathing, and Fiber Channel.
  • Design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BC) strategies, including regular testing and validation of RTO/RPO objectives.
  • Perform root cause analysis efforts for complex incidents and implement long-term corrective actions.
  • Establish and enforce secure configuration baselines, patching strategies, and vulnerability remediation workflows.
  • Secure data across its lifecycle through encryption (at rest/in transit), immutable backups, and ransomware protection strategies.
  • Contribute to transformation initiatives, transitioning legacy infrastructure to modern, hybrid, or cloud-native architectures.

What You Bring to the Table

To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, and regular attendance is required. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to support individuals with disabilities.

Required

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in systems engineering, infrastructure, or platform engineering roles within enterprise environments
  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including root cause analysis and proactive issue prevention in complex, distributed environments
  • Deep expertise in server operating systems, including modern Windows Server and Linux distributions, with emphasis on automation, patching, hardening, and secure configuration management
  • Strong hands-on experience with on-premises infrastructure, including compute (rack/blade servers), enterprise storage (NetApp, PureStorage, Nutanix), and data center operations
  • Proven experience with VMware virtualization (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter), including configuration and lifecycle management
  • Proven experience with backup, recovery, and replication technologies (e.g., Veeam, Druva, or similar), including offsite replication, ransomware recovery strategies, and regular DR testing
  • Deep knowledge of disaster recovery (DR), backup strategies, and business continuity planning, with demonstrated experience implementing and validating recovery solutions (RTO/RPO alignment)
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, routing) and how they integrate with server and storage infrastructure

Preferred

  • Experience working in manufacturing and/or engineering environments
  • Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (AWS and Microsoft Azure), including infrastructure deployment, hybrid connectivity, backup/DR integration, and workload migration strategies
  • Experience with modern observability platforms and AI-driven monitoring/automation solutions to proactively detect, analyze, and remediate infrastructure issues.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
