Summary

Position Summary

The Security Project Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the organization''s Security Office by overseeing and managing a portfolio of security projects while providing strategic and operational support to senior leadership. This individual will ensure effective collaboration among stakeholders, monitor project progress, support project managers in advancing initiatives, and assist in the development and implementation of security programs, policies, and procedures.

The role requires strong project management capabilities with an emphasis on budget management, scope development, executive reporting, and stakeholder engagement. The Security Project Analyst will monitor project activities to ensure alignment with established timelines, financial constraints, and organizational security standards.

The position works closely with cross-functional teams, including Information Technology, Procurement, Legal, Operations, and Security personnel, to facilitate the successful execution of security initiatives. Additional responsibilities include conducting market research, evaluating emerging technologies and vendors, identifying resource gaps, and supporting executive-level decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

Security Program Support

  • Support the evaluation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of security programs and initiatives.
  • Assist in performance reviews and identify opportunities for program enhancements.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and standards.

Project Management & Coordination

  • Track and manage multiple security projects simultaneously.
  • Monitor project scope, schedules, milestones, risks, and deliverables.
  • Support project managers in driving initiatives to completion.
  • Provide regular project updates and status reporting to leadership.

Budget Management & Reporting

  • Monitor project budgets and expenditures.
  • Track funding allocations and cost controls.
  • Prepare financial reports and budget forecasts.
  • Ensure projects remain aligned with approved financial parameters.

Executive Reporting & Presentations

  • Develop executive-level presentations, dashboards, and reports.
  • Communicate project progress, risks, budget status, and performance metrics.
  • Facilitate meetings and discussions with internal and external stakeholders.

Stakeholder Engagement & Policy Review

  • Coordinate activities among cross-functional teams and business partners.
  • Ensure security systems, protocols, and policies are reviewed and updated as necessary.
  • Support collaboration among Security, IT, Procurement, Legal, and Operations teams.

Security Technology Research & Vendor Evaluation

  • Research and evaluate emerging security technologies, solutions, and industry trends.
  • Assist in assessing security vendors and service providers.
  • Support analysis of technologies such as video management systems, surveillance platforms, AI-driven security analytics, deployable camera systems, and related security tools.

Security Operations Support

  • Assist in maintaining security-related documentation and reporting.
  • Support video footage tracking and management for operational insights and incident documentation.
  • Provide reporting support for tactical security programs and initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor''s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Security Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • 1–3 years of professional experience in project coordination, project management, security operations, or technical systems deployment.
  • Understanding of project management methodologies and principles.
  • Experience coordinating projects across multiple stakeholders and departments.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience preparing executive-level reports and presentations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Technical Knowledge

  • General understanding of video management systems and security camera technologies.
  • Basic knowledge of networking and IT concepts, including:
    • Communication protocols
    • Encryption
    • Virtual Private Networks (VPNs)
    • Operating systems
    • Computer resource allocation
  • General understanding of security and low-voltage systems.
  • Familiarity with engineering design processes and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting physical security programs or security technology deployments.
  • Experience with budget tracking and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with AI-based surveillance and analytics platforms.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or process improvement experience.
  • Valid driver''s license and willingness to travel to operational sites as needed.
