Job Title: Full Stack Developer

Location: 100% remote

Job Type: 6 Months of contract after that FTE

Position Overview

The team consists of Data Scientists and Full Stack Developers who work collaboratively to design, develop, and enhance internal web applications. This is a highly hands-on development role requiring strong coding skills, with a combination of manual coding and modern AI-assisted development tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications supporting internal business stakeholders.
• Build responsive and scalable front-end applications using React and Next.js.
• Develop robust backend services and APIs using Python and Flask.
• Work extensively with SQL, including data querying, data modeling, and creation/maintenance of data tables.
• Work with Databricks for data-related application and development requirements.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools, particularly Claude Code, to improve development productivity and application delivery.
• Implement application security best practices and appropriate security countermeasures to protect applications and data.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines to support automated build, testing, and deployment processes.
• Containerize applications and development environments using Docker.
• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, developers, and internal stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in hands-on coding, debugging, testing, performance optimization, and application enhancements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional full-stack development experience, with strong, hands-on and seasoned development expertise.
• Strong front-end development experience with React and Next.js.
• Strong backend development experience with Python and Flask.
• Solid SQL experience, including data table creation and data manipulation.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks.
• Experience with Docker and containerized application development.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
• Experience implementing application security practices and countermeasures.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted coding/development tools; Claude Code experience is highly preferred/required.
• Strong coding, debugging, problem-solving, and software development skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience working in environments involving Data Scientists, data engineering, or analytics teams.
• Experience developing applications that integrate with data platforms and services.
