Job Title: Software Engineer

Location: Chicago, IL

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field, with strong professional experience in software development.
• Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience in software development, with strong experience in both front-end and back-end technologies.
• Strong experience developing scalable web applications using Angular, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Advanced experience with C#, .NET Core, .NET MVC, and LINQ for enterprise-level backend application development.
• Strong experience developing and integrating REST APIs and JSON-based services.
• Solid experience with SQL Server, including database design, development, performance optimization, and production environment management.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining enterprise-level web and desktop applications throughout the full SDLC.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining Python-based data integration, transformation, and automation solutions, including data validation, cleansing, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Hands-on experience with Ab Initio ETL, including graphs, plans, data migration processes, and enterprise integration pipelines.
• Strong experience with application deployment and production support using IIS.
• Proficiency with GitHub/source control in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, application performance optimization, reliability, and security.
• Experience troubleshooting complex application and production issues and implementing effective resolutions with minimal downtime.
• Experience participating in the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, technical design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
• Experience working in Agile development environments and actively participating in Agile ceremonies.
• Strong experience conducting code reviews and maintaining high standards of software quality.
• Experience creating technical specifications and documentation based on business requirements and conceptual designs.
• Experience mentoring junior software engineers and providing guidance on development best practices and career growth.
• Experience with Azure services and cloud-based development is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently, manage complex projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
