Reason for Opening: Client is experiencing significant S/4HANA security risk and technical debt resulting from earlier consulting partner design issues. PwC identified a high level of SOD and access risk, particularly in S/4. The current senior team (2) is overloaded with SOD remediation and role redesign work, while ticket volume remains high. Additional senior SAP Security Analysts are needed to lead SOD cleanup, redesign S/4 and Fiori roles, address risk findings, and stabilize the SAP security landscape as the organization continues its global S/4 rollout.

Project/Day to Day: The Senior SAP Security Analyst will focus on S/4HANA and Fiori role redesign, SOD analysis, and remediation work. Responsibilities include separating conflicting functions, building SOD compliant role structures, consolidating access into major process roles (Purchasing, Processing, Sales & Distribution), and correcting issues introduced by earlier consulting firms design decisions. The senior analyst will work closely with audit (PwC findings), internal security leadership, and functional teams to reduce risk, support new go-lives (Canada and upcoming regions), and guide the overall SAP security architecture while consulting firm continues production support.

Job Description:

Client is undergoing a multi year S/4HANA transformation. The Senior SAP Security Analyst will play a key role in redesigning S/4 and Fiori security roles, remediating SOD and compliance risk, and strengthening overall SAP security architecture. This role focuses on strategy, analysis, and design-not ticket processing. The senior analyst will support global go lives, partner with audit and leadership, and correct issues introduced during previous consulting implementations.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead S/4HANA and Fiori security role redesign across multiple functional areas
Analyze and remediate SOD conflicts and SOX-related risks flagged by consulting company
Build and validate SOD compliant roles, including separating toxic combinations
Consolidate remaining access into streamlined process roles (Purchasing, Processing, SD/SI)
Review and correct design gaps introduced by consulting companies initial role build
Partner with business and functional teams to gather access requirements
Support global rollout phases (Canada next, then Europe/Mexico)
Assist with creation and mapping of Fiori catalogs, groups, and tiles
Provide guidance to junior analysts and help stabilize production support
Ensure compliance with governance, audit, and change control processes
Collaborate with IT leadership on risk reduction strategy

Required Experience:
4-7+ years SAP Security experience with strong S/4HANA and Fiori expertise
Hands-on experience with SOD remediation, audit support, and SOX/ARA rule sets
Experience redesigning roles across modules such as FI, MM, SD, PP, and others
Strong understanding of S/4/Fiori security architecture and HANA repository roles
Proven history remediating complex SOD risk in SAP environments
Ability to collaborate with functional teams and communicate with audit stakeholders

Nice to Have:
Experience correcting or remediating external SI design flaws
Familiarity with SAP GRC Access Controls
Exposure to large scale global S/4 transformations
Knowledge of ECC-to-S/4 role transition planning
