Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an IT Sr. Scrum Master for a remote opportunity with one of our premier clients.

Job Description

Our client is searching for a strong initiative-focused project/program management leader. This Sr. Scrum Master/Project Manager position will be aligned to the Telematics portfolio and will help drive planning, coordination, execution, and delivery across complex, cross-functional initiatives. This individual will partner with portfolio leadership to create structure, manage risks and dependencies, remove blockers, and ensure teams are aligned on priorities, timelines, milestones, and outcomes.

They will use data, metrics, and delivery insights to improve predictability, transparency, and execution. They will work closely with Engineering Managers, Business Partners, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and other stakeholders to support cross-portfolio and cross-domain planning, roadmap alignment, dependency management, initiative health, and clear communication. They will also drive Jira standardization to ensure high-quality data that supports automated allocation calculations for Shibumi.

Responsibilities

Uses a pragmatic, delivery-focused approach to help teams and leaders plan, organize, and execute complex initiatives. Builds and maintains initiative plans, milestone views, RAID items, dependency maps, and communication routines to ensure work remains visible, prioritized, and on track. Facilitates portfolio-level planning and working sessions, helping teams clarify scope, sequence work, identify tradeoffs, and make timely decisions. Proactively manages risks, dependencies, blockers, and cross-team coordination across Engineering, Product, Business, and portfolio stakeholders. Uses Lean-Agile practices and delivery metrics to improve predictability, flow, team health, and quality while keeping a strong focus on outcomes and business value. Supports Jira and delivery data standards to improve reporting, allocation accuracy, and transparency. Coaches teams on effective planning, execution, and continuous improvement while fostering accountability, collaboration, and shared ownership. Understands the impact of change within the organization and helps leaders and teams navigate change with clear structure, communication, and follow-through. Actively participates in the Scrum Master and delivery community by sharing practices, lessons learned, and opportunities to improve initiative delivery.

External Qualifications
  • Bachelor`s degree in a relevant field (business, computer science, humanities, etc.) and at least 5 years related experience
  • Knowledge/training equivalent to advanced/2nd level certifications from a reputable Lean-Agile organization a plus but not required (PSM II, ICAgile Professional Agile Team Facilitation (ICP-ATF), ICAgile Professional Agile Coaching (ICP-ACC))
  • Experience being on multiple Agile teams in a variety of different contexts
  • Thorough knowledge of business functions and extensive understanding of business operations, strategies and objectives
  • Track record of continued and recent education in Lean-Agile including training, conferences, user groups, cohorts, self-study, etc
  • Familiarity with software engineering delivery, including technical planning, dependencies, release coordination, and delivery risks
  • Strong expertise in Jira configuration, dashboards, reporting, and workflow management, with experience tracking large-scale initiatives, dependencies, risks, and delivery metrics across complex technology portfolios.
  • Ability to partner effectively with Engineering Managers and technical teams to translate complex work into clear plans, milestones, and stakeholder communications
