We are seeking a senior developer to develop, enhance, modify, and maintain an application used for the Independent Price Verification process for a Global Markets business. This role involves working in a dynamic environment with an Angular/REST API/Python and Oracle tech stack. The position offers the opportunity to interact with senior stakeholders in a Global Markets CFO Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop object-oriented software in Python, using an object-oriented database and grid computing.
- Develop data transfer tools to replicate data from a NoSQL datastore to an Oracle (Exadata) database.
- Build REST web services.
- Design the interface between the UI and REST service.
- Build a data-grid centric UI based on the Angular framework.
- Participate in the full development process throughout the entire software lifecycle.
- Engage in the Agile software development process, including pair programming and daily stand-ups.
Required Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 6-10 years of overall technology experience is required. This includes a minimum of 6-10 years designing and developing in an object-oriented environment with any OO language (e.g., Java, C++, C#) and 6-10 years designing and tuning SQL database tables and queries. A minimum of 3-5 years of Python experience is also required.
Technical Skills: Demonstrable knowledge of Python, Oracle, and SQL is necessary. Experience across a range of languages and technologies, especially C++/Java, is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with git, npm, and Angular (15.x or later).
- Experience with grid computing and high data volume.
- Experience with test-driven development, functional testing, and continuous integration.
- Relevant industry experience in banking middle/back office or finance.
- A passion to learn new technology.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
