Role Overview
The Senior Product Manager, Emerging Technology plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization's future by identifying, conceptualizing, and delivering groundbreaking products powered by emerging technologies. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Management, this role requires a highly adaptable product manager with strong program leadership, a product-oriented mindset, and the ability to translate cutting-edge technology into meaningful, scalable solutions. This leader must be comfortable working in ambiguous environments with undefined roadmaps and shifting priorities, collaborating across global teams to drive products from discovery through go-to-market.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the product vision and roadmap for emerging technology initiatives, focusing on a 3-5 year future-state strategy.
- Stay ahead of technology trends across AI, machine learning, computer vision, extended reality (XR), robotics, and spatial intelligence to identify growth opportunities.
- Lead iterative product development from ideation and proof of concept through first-run execution of new emerging products.
- Define clear user stories, product requirements, success metrics, and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, design, delivery teams, and external partners to align on vision and execution.
- Identify, define, and prioritize high-impact use cases aligned with business objectives and develop data-backed business cases.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product performance and business impact.
- Support the creation and maintenance of product documentation, roadmaps, and socialization materials.
Required Qualifications
Experience:- 5+ years of professional experience, preferably in emerging technologies, innovation-focused, or R&D/early-stage roles.
- Experience delivering products through iterative development, including POCs and production-level solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working with international teams.
- Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, pivot quickly, and manage multiple priorities in environments with undefined roadmaps.
- Experience working in agile, highly collaborative, cross-functional teams.
Skills:- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to develop business cases grounded in data.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations.
- Ability to think strategically while driving ideas into action.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated success communicating complex technical topics to non-technical audiences.
- Experience with agile tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, Confluence).
- Strong familiarity with artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, XR, robotics, or related technologies.
- Proven ability to evaluate, implement, and operationalize AI-driven solutions.
- Multilingual skills, experience with AI translation, or exposure to the hospitality industry are strong pluses.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Preferred areas of study include Business Management, Technology Management, or Computer Science.
Compensation & BenefitsThe pay rate for this position is
$80.00 to $89.00 per hour. Apex Systems offers weekly pay. Please note that as a contract employee, you may be eligible for benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401k plan, with an employee contribution.
