Job Summary

The Enterprise Architect plays a strategic leadership role in delivering enterprise-scale technology transformation initiatives for Pellera's clients. This position is responsible for guiding customers through the planning, design, governance, and execution of complex IT modernization programs with a focus on datacenter transformation, infrastructure modernization, automation, operational excellence, and enterprise IT systems.

Working closely with executive stakeholders, technical teams, project managers, and practice leaders, the Enterprise Architect serves as a trusted advisor throughout the lifecycle of client engagements. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining enterprise architecture roadmaps, aligning technology solutions to business objectives, establishing governance frameworks, and ensuring successful delivery of transformational initiatives.

The Enterprise Architect provides thought leadership across multiple technology domains, helping clients modernize and optimize their infrastructure, improve operational efficiency through automation, reduce technical debt, and implement scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise solutions. Success in this role requires a combination of deep technical expertise, business acumen, strategic thinking, leadership, and effective communication skills.

Essential Functions
  • Collaborate with client business and IT stakeholders to develop enterprise technology strategies, transformation roadmaps, and architectural frameworks that align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Lead the architecture, design, and governance of enterprise technology initiatives, including datacenter modernization, hybrid cloud adoption, infrastructure transformation, automation, operational process improvement, and enterprise IT platform optimization.
  • Serve as the primary technical advisor throughout project delivery, providing architectural guidance, risk management, and executive-level recommendations to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain current-state and future-state architecture models, reference architectures, technology standards, and implementation roadmaps that support long-term business and technology objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation, orchestration, infrastructure-as-code, process optimization, and modern management practices.
  • Provide technical oversight and governance for complex implementations, ensuring solutions meet requirements for scalability, security, reliability, performance, maintainability, and compliance.
  • Lead architecture reviews, design workshops, technical assessments, and strategic planning sessions with client stakeholders and internal delivery teams.
  • Collaborate with Pellera practice leaders, consultants, engineers, and project management teams to ensure architectural consistency and successful execution of client engagements.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to develop innovative recommendations that create measurable business value for customers.
  • Mentor technical teams and provide leadership in the adoption of architecture standards, delivery methodologies, and operational best practices.
  • Support post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure clients realize expected business and technical outcomes.

  • Required Skills / Abilities / Competencies
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, frameworks, and methodologies.
  • Deep expertise in datacenter technologies, enterprise infrastructure, hybrid cloud platforms, systems integration, and infrastructure modernization strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of automation technologies, orchestration platforms, infrastructure-as-code methodologies, and operational transformation practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex business and technical challenges.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with executives, business leaders, technical teams, and project stakeholders.
  • Experience developing enterprise architecture roadmaps, governance processes, technical standards, and transformation strategies.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, business continuity, disaster recovery, and enterprise operational resiliency.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive organizational change.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting and professional services environment.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Ethical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and enterprise collaboration tools.


  • Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in enterprise infrastructure, architecture, systems engineering, consulting, or related technology leadership roles.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise technology transformation initiatives involving datacenter modernization, cloud adoption, automation, and operational optimization.
  • Experience developing enterprise architecture strategies, reference architectures, and technology roadmaps for large and mid-sized organizations.
  • Relevant industry certifications preferred, such as:
    • TOGAF
    • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect
    • VMware Certifications
    • AWS Solutions Architect
    • Cisco Certifications
    • ITIL
    • Other relevant architecture and infrastructure certifications


    Location and Travel

    United States

    Must be able to travel overnight approximately 20-30% of work schedule as required to support customer engagements, workshops, assessments, and strategic planning activities.

    Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
