Lead Java Backend Developer (Spring Boot & Node.js) – Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Backend Developer with expertise in Spring Boot and Node.js to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and APIs. The ideal candidate will have experience building microservices, integrating third-party systems, and delivering high-performance solutions in cloud-based environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Node.js.

• Build and support RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.

• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and frontend developers to deliver end-to-end solutions.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.

• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Integrate databases, messaging systems, and third-party services.

• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and production support activities.

• Implement security, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor''''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 5+ years of backend development experience.

• Strong proficiency in Java 8/11/17+ and Spring Boot.

• Hands-on experience with Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Experience developing REST APIs and microservices.

• Strong knowledge of SQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.

• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or DynamoDB.

• Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.

• Experience with Git-based source control and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).

• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, ELK, Datadog, or Prometheus.
