IMMEDIATE NEW JOB OPENING for a Financial Controller to join our client s team on a full-time basis and work on-site at their offices in far North Fort Worth. This Controller will lead and oversee our organization's accounting operations and financial reporting functions. This role requires a highly analytical individual with a strong background in cost analysis and financial management. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership abilities to guide the accounting team (AP/AR) while ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
  • Supervise and mentor the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks. Team is comprised of 2 individuals (1 AR, 1 AP)
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes, ensuring the preparation of accurate financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and coordinate annual audit activities.
  • Conduct cost analysis to identify variances and profitability trends, recommending strategies for operational efficiency.
  • Responsible for regular meetings with Operations Manager, General Manager and Mechanic Supervisor to go over budget and any identified variances in spending and make recommendations on how to increase profitability.
  • Proactively review R&M and make suggestions.
  • Develop and implement budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business initiatives.
  • Evaluate and improve accounting policies, procedures, and systems to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
  • Responsible for monthly closeouts, journal entries, and keeping up with inventory.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA is a plus
  • At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience
  • 3+ years current experience as a Controller.
  • QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop
  • Demonstrated expertise in cost analysis and financial modeling.
  • Work in Process (WIP) experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and regulatory standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
