Description

Under limited supervision, coordinates, designs, implement and manage and maintain monitoring solutions for the organization including server and cloud services monitoring.  Onboard/configure all applications into the Dynatrace monitoring tool for use. 

Required Skills (5 Years)

• ·         Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of staff and management
• ·         Knowledge of Windows/Linux servers, virtualized environments (VMware), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• ·         Experience with scripting or automation tools like PowerShell or Bash (preferred).
• ·         Basic networking understanding (DNS, TCP/IP, Load balancing).
• ·         Experience migrating from Dynatrace Managed to SaaS
• ·         Knowledge of recommending baseline monitoring thresholds, KPI;s and SLA''s
• ·         Familiarity with enterprise log analysis frameworks and tools like Jira or Service Now.
• ·         Exposure to AWS Solution Architect Professional Certification (Preferred).

Job Summary:

Under limited supervision, coordinates, designs, and secures computer databases to store, track, and maintain a large volume of critical business information. Serves as highest advanced-level subject matter expert, providing authoritative guidance for professional staff. May also serve in a lead role. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate monitoring, troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, and research for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) across hybrid, multi-cloud, and microservices architectures.  This is for the INET Program.

Monitoring & Observability:

·         cloud teams to identify trends and capacity needs.

·         Proactively identify and resolve Configure, maintain, and optimize monitoring solutions using Dynatrace.

·         Enable end-to-end visibility across infrastructure, systems, and applications.

·         Develop dashboards, alerts, and health checks to ensure system health and reliability.

·         Monitor service performance and availability and set alert thresholds to minimize false positives.

·         Infrastructure Systems Monitoring:

·         Monitor Windows/Linux servers, virtual environments, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

·         Support monitoring of databases, middleware, and network components.

·         Collaborate with infrastructure and issues before they impact production.

Application Monitoring:

·         Use Dynatrace to monitor application performance and transaction flows.

·         Support synthetic monitoring and real user monitoring.

·         Work closely with application teams to ensure comprehensive monitoring coverage.

·         Assist in troubleshooting performance issues at both the application and system level.

Incident Support:

·         Participate in incident response efforts related to performance and availability.

·         Provide monitoring insights during troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

·         Identify and close monitoring gaps.

·         Continuous Improvement:

·         Enhance monitoring standards and documentation.

·         Recommend improvements to monitoring configurations and alert strategies.

·         Support integration of monitoring tools with IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms.
