Senior/Enterprise Architect
Introduction
The Senior/Enterprise Architect will be responsible for defining, designing, and governing enterprise-scale Product Lifecycle Management solutions using the PTC Windchill platform. This role will lead PLM transformation initiatives and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing PLM capabilities aligned with enterprise objectives.
Responsibilities
- Define, design, and govern enterprise-scale Product Lifecycle Management solutions using the Windchill platform.
- Lead PLM transformation initiatives spanning solution architecture, cloud migration, integrations, data migration, performance, security, and technical governance.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering teams, IT leadership, and implementation partners to deliver scalable, secure, and supportable PLM capabilities.
- Create architecture blueprints, roadmaps, solution design documents, technical specifications, and infrastructure, security, integration, and deployment architecture documents.
- Develop data migration strategies, validation approaches, cutover plans, performance assessments, scalability assessments, and disaster recovery plans.
- Establish technical governance frameworks, standards, and reusable design patterns.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful implementation of PLM solutions.
- Translate business requirements into pragmatic architecture decisions and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

- Experience with data migration projects involving the full ETL process
Technical Skills
- Windchill Platform knowledge including Windchill PDMLink, MPMLink, ProjectLink, Parts Management, Document Management, Change Management, BOM Management, workflow, lifecycle, classification, and access control.
- Experience with Java/J2EE, Windchill customization, Info*Engine, REST APIs, SOAP services, SQL, Oracle or PostgreSQL, Apache, and Tomcat.
- Cloud and DevOps expertise with AWS or Microsoft Azure architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, automated deployment, CI/CD, monitoring, and operational readiness.
- Enterprise Integration skills including SAP or Oracle integration, Boomi or MuleSoft, ThingWorx, API management, identity management, SSO, LDAP, and Active Directory.
- Knowledge of architecture practices such as enterprise architecture, solution patterns, non-functional requirements, security architecture, capacity planning, risk management, and technical governance.
Preferred Certifications
- PTC Windchill certification or equivalent demonstrated expertise
- PTC Windchill System Administration certification
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- TOGAF, SAFe Architect, or comparable architecture certification
- PMP or equivalent delivery certification

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Master's degree preferred
- 12+ years of overall IT experience
- 8+ years of hands-on Windchill implementation experience
- 5+ years in solution architecture or enterprise architecture roles
- Demonstrated experience delivering global PLM transformation or modernization programs
