Summary

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Sr Python / AI Engineer.

Position type: Contract
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Charlotte, NC

Python development

Design and develop end to end AI solutions using Python, from data ingestion to model inference and lightweight UI prototypes.
Build rapid POCs to validate AI driven use cases before production hardening.

Source and prepare data as needed:

Write SQL queries to extract data from relational databases.
Integrate structured and unstructured data sources into AI workflows.
Implement and manage LLM inference pipelines, including:
Prompt engineering
Data chunking strategies
Vector embeddings and similarity search
Leverage existing AI and LLM libraries and frameworks to deliver solutions efficiently (not building models from scratch).

• Must haves:

Strong proficiency in Python for backend and AI application development.
Experience building full stack solutions, even if not a dedicated frontend developer.
Solid understanding of SQL and data sourcing from databases.

Hands on experience with LLM-based systems, including:
Inference workflows
Prompt design
Tokenization and chunking strategies

Plusses:
Engineering background.
Being agile/dynamic, able to change focus quickly

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $60 - $65 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate''s education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
