Summary

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Sr Python / AI Engineer.
 
Position type: Contract
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Charlotte, NC
 
Python development
  • Design and develop end to end AI solutions using Python, from data ingestion to model inference and lightweight UI prototypes.
  • Build rapid POCs to validate AI driven use cases before production hardening.

Source and prepare data as needed:
  • Write SQL queries to extract data from relational databases.
  • Integrate structured and unstructured data sources into AI workflows.
  • Implement and manage LLM inference pipelines, including:
  • Prompt engineering
  • Data chunking strategies
  • Vector embeddings and similarity search
  • Leverage existing AI and LLM libraries and frameworks to deliver solutions efficiently (not building models from scratch).


• Must haves:
  • Strong proficiency in Python for backend and AI application development.
  • Experience building full stack solutions, even if not a dedicated frontend developer.
  • Solid understanding of SQL and data sourcing from databases.
  • Hands on experience with LLM-based systems, including:
  • Inference workflows
  • Prompt design
  • Tokenization and chunking strategies

Plusses:
 Engineering background. 
Being agile/dynamic, able to change focus quickly

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $60 - $65 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate''s education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
