We are seeking an experienced Network Tools Administrator to join our technology-based program supporting a key government customer. As a Network Tool Administrator, you will play a critical role in updating servers, network monitoring, and operations support.
The Network Tool Administrator shall possess the following capabilities:- Install, configure, upgrade, and patch network monitoring and management tools.
- Monitor network performance, analyze traffic patterns, and manage alerts for network anomalies.
- Set up and manage alerts for network anomalies, ensuring a timely response.
- Ensure that all changes to the network inventory are accurately recorded and updated in real-time.
- Work closely with network engineers, IT support teams, and other stakeholders to ensure network inventory needs are met.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of experience.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, architecture, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting and performance optimization.
- Proficiency with network monitoring and management tools such as OpenText NOM, Nagios, PRTG Network Monitor, Wireshark, etc.
- Ability to create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and policies.
Preferred Qualifications:- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
- Strong data analysis skills to generate actionable insights from network data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with IT staff and stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to team goals.
