Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced EHR Integration Specialist to support healthcare organizations with Electronic Health Record (EHR) integration, interoperability, and data quality initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in healthcare data exchange standards, EHR platforms, and clinical workflow integration. This role involves working with healthcare providers and EHR vendors to ensure seamless connectivity, accurate clinical data exchange, and compliance with interoperability standards.

Key Responsibilities EHR Integration & Technical Onboarding
  • Lead provider onboarding and guide healthcare organizations and EHR vendors through integration requirements.
  • Conduct technical assessments of EHR capabilities, interface configurations, and data extraction workflows.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to support integration activities, resolve interface issues, and ensure successful implementations.
Healthcare Interoperability
  • Provide expertise on interoperability standards including HL7 v2, C-CDA, CCD, FHIR, and USCDI.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to message structure, vocabulary standards, and data exchange methods.
  • Ensure provider submissions meet interoperability and compliance requirements.
Data Quality & Validation
  • Review and validate clinical data for completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues by working closely with providers and EHR vendors.
  • Support structured clinical data validation and mapping activities.
Training & Provider Support
  • Deliver technical guidance, training sessions, and educational materials to healthcare providers.
  • Assist users in understanding interoperability best practices, data flows, and reporting requirements.
  • Provide ongoing technical support throughout implementation and post-go-live activities.
Collaboration
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support interoperability initiatives and improve onboarding processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts related to healthcare data exchange and integration.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience working with EHR platforms such as Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health, Allscripts/Veradigm, or NextGen.
  • 5+ years of experience with HL7 v2, C-CDA, CCD, FHIR, and USCDI.
  • 5+ years of experience validating structured clinical data and troubleshooting EHR integration issues.
  • 3+ years of experience interpreting clinical workflows and mapping them to data exchange requirements.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare privacy/security regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Health Information Exchange (HIE) onboarding or healthcare interoperability projects.
  • Experience working in multi-vendor EHR environments.
  • Knowledge of SQL, interface engines, or data mapping tools.
  • Familiarity with state or federal digital health initiatives.
  • Experience supporting rural or underserved healthcare organizations.
