EssentialResponsibilities

  • Performtoptier(primary)salescontactfunctionforaccounts,responsibleforentirePowellcatalogue
  • Engage/coordinatecustomersupportfromdifferentareasofPowellorganization
  • Generatenewandrepeatsalesofcompanyproductsandservices
  • Identifysalesprospectsandcontacttheseandotheraccountsassigned
  • Establishandmaintaincurrentclientandpotentialclientrelationships
  • Deliverproductpresentationsatcustomersites,conferencesandexhibitions
  • Developandmaintainsalesmaterialsandcurrentproductknowledge
  • Follow-uponnewsalesleadsandreferralstoincreasesalespotential
  • Prepareactionplansandschedulestoidentifyspecifictargetopportunities
  • Preparedetailedequipmentproposalsandperformsalescontractreviews
  • Participateinmarketingeventssuchasseminarsandtradeshows
  • Helptoidentifyandresolveclientconcerns/complaints
  • Prepareandmaintainavarietyofsalesstatusreports,includingactivities,closings,follow-upandadherencetodepartmentandcompanygoalsasrequiredofthedepartmentmanager
  • Assistintheimplementationofcompanymarketingplansandstrategyasneeded
  • Managesalesaccountsthroughcontinuousqualitychecksandotherfollow-up
  • Keepsalesreportinginformationcurrent/accurateusingSalesCRMsoftware

MinimumQualifications

  • Minimum5years?experienceinaTechnicalSalesorMarketingrole;Orcombination5years?experienceinelectricalengineering&sales/marketingrole
  • Workingknowledgeofelectricalproductsandapplications
  • Excellentwrittenandoralcommunicationskills
  • Stronginterpersonalskills,computerskills,andworkplanningskills
  • FamiliaritywithNEC,ANSIandIECpowerdistributionequipmentapplicationstandards
  • Readblueprintsorplanstoidentifyelectricalequipment(Switchgear,circuitbreakers,etc.)

  • Proventrackrecordofestimating,negotiatingandrespondingtocommercialandtechnicalclarifications
  • Possessunderstandingatahigherlevelofcapitalprojectdecisiondrivers,projectstaffing,purchasinginfluenceandhowdecisionsaremade
  • Demonstrateworkingknowledgeofallportionsofintegratedprojects,includingPowellmanufactured,intelligentdevices,communicationsandmajorbuyoutitems
  • Abilitytoleadcustomernegotiationsforcommercialterms
  • AbilitytofacilitatecustomernegotiationsonlegaltermsalongwithPowellcorporatecounsel
  • Familiaritywithrevenuerecognitionrequirements
  • Goodunderstandingofthecompetitivelandscape
