Roles & Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business requirements for data and analytics initiatives involving Databricks.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, data scientists, and technical teams to understand data requirements and translate them into actionable technical specifications.
• Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for data-driven improvements and automation.
• Create detailed Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
• Work with technical teams to define requirements for Databricks-based data pipelines, data transformations, and analytics solutions.
• Develop and maintain data mapping documents, source-to-target mappings, business rules, and data dictionaries.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to validate data requirements and ensure business rules are accurately implemented.
• Perform data analysis and validation using SQL to identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and gaps.
• Participate in requirements gathering, backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos, and stakeholder meetings.
• Translate complex technical and data concepts into clear business requirements for non-technical stakeholders.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test scenarios, test cases, defect tracking, and business sign-off.
• Work with stakeholders to prioritize requirements based on business value, dependencies, and project timelines.
• Document current-state and future-state processes and recommend improvements.
• Support data governance, data quality, and reporting requirements across business functions.
• Track requirements and project deliverables using tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.

Ensure requirements and deliverables align with business objectives, data standards, and organizational policies.
