Key skills and experience required include:
Provisioning and managing Oracle Cloud Database Services (Autonomous Database, Exadata, and Base DB Services).
Strong understanding of OCI cloud architecture, including VCNs, IAM policies, Security Lists, and Network Security Groups.
Experience migrating legacy or on premises databases using Data Pump, Oracle Zero Downtime Migration (ZDM), or GoldenGate.
Hands on skills in automation using OCI CLI, SDKs, Terraform, or OCI Resource Manager.
Proficiency with Oracle 19c or higher.
Knowledge of RMAN backup and recovery, preferably with Commvault.
Ability to collaborate with developers to build schema objects and resolve technical issues.
Responsibilities
Work with the Client's resources and Oracle implementation team to create Autonomous Database(ADB) in the Oracle Cloud.
Ensure data integrity in Autonomous Database.
Help create and manage Golden Gate.
Skills and Qualifications
OCI Cloud Database Services: Comprehensive knowledge of provisioning and managing Oracle Base Database Services (VMs/Bare Metal), Oracle Exadata Database Service, and Oracle Autonomous Database (ATP and ADW).
Cloud Architecture & Networking: Mastery over OCI-specific cloud configurations like Virtual Cloud Networks (VCNs), Security Lists, Network Security Groups (NSGs), Compartments, and Identity & Access Management (IAM) cloud policies.
Migration Frameworks: Expertise in transitioning legacy or on-premises databases to the cloud using Oracle Zero Downtime Migration (ZDM), Oracle Data Pump, or real-time replication via Oracle GoldenGate.
Automation & Orchestration: Proven capabilities in automation using Cloud SDKs, OCI CLI, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) utilizing Terraform or OCI Resource Manager.
Operating System: Strong knowledge of Windows environment.
Oracle Database Management: Proficiency in maintaining Oracle database versions 19c or higher.
Developer Collaboration: Work alongside application developers to construct primary storage structures and schema objects based on application design. Resolve technical conflicts as required.
Maintenance and Support: Manage maintenance tasks, handle software updates and interface with developers or Oracle support to resolve technical issues.
Backup and Recovery: Strong knowledge of Oracle RMAN backup and recovery using Commvault.
Experience and Education:
Information Management, Computer Science, or any closely related field with at least 5 years' working experience using HCM, PeopleSoft, JavaScript libraries, SQL and SQR. An equivalent combination of experience, education and training will be considered.
