Elementary Computer Science Teacher

Location: 301 De Montfort Avenue, San Francisco, and 2322 Crestmoor Drive, San Bruno

Schedule: Three days a week at San Francisco and two days a week at San Bruno

Salary: $56,000 - $72,000

SUMMARY:

Stratford School is seeking a passionateElementary Computer Science Teacher for a full-time position serving two North Bay campuses. The schedule will be three days per week at our De Montfort campus in San Francisco and two days per week at our San Bruno campus. This role leads Stratford?s computer science curriculum while helping students develop computational thinking, problem-solving, digital citizenship, and technology literacy skills.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teach engaging, age-appropriate computer science lessons aligned with Stratford?s curriculum and academic standards.
  • Develop students? computational thinking, problem-solving, digital citizenship, and technology skills.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate computer science and technology into academic projects.
  • Monitor and assess student progress and communicate with families and school leadership as needed.
  • Serve as a campus resource for computer science and educational technology integration.
  • Support technology equipment, resources, inventory, and basic troubleshooting in partnership with the Stratford Technology team.
  • Prepare lesson plans and provide program updates to the Principal.
  • Maintain a positive, engaging, and respectful classroom environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, school events, and other campus activities.
  • Perform other related classroom duties and school support tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor?s degree from an accredited college or university,
  • Prior classroom or teaching experience preferred.
  • Experience working with elementary students preferred.
  • Knowledge of computer science, educational technology, and digital citizenship.
  • Programming/coding experience and knowledge of CSTA standards are a plus.
  • Experience with educational software, student devices, PCs/Macs, interactive technology, and classroom technology.
  • Basic computer troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication, organization, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
