Position Overview

Citadel Security USA is seeking a professional Unarmed Security Officer to provide security services at a commercial property in Cheyenne. This position focuses on maintaining a secure environment through proactive patrols, access monitoring, excellent customer service, and timely reporting.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong situational awareness, communicates professionally with employees and visitors, and takes pride in providing dependable security support.

Primary Responsibilities

Property Security
  • Conduct routine patrols of buildings, parking areas, construction zones, and surrounding property.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help discourage unauthorized activity and security violations.
  • Inspect assigned areas for safety concerns, property damage, or unusual conditions.
  • Report hazards or maintenance issues that could affect site safety.

Access Control
  • Monitor entrances and exits throughout the property.
  • Verify authorization before permitting access to restricted areas.
  • Assist with visitor check-in procedures when required.
  • Observe site activity and report unauthorized access attempts.

Incident Response
  • Respond to security concerns, disturbances, and emergency situations in accordance with established procedures.
  • Follow post orders and client-specific operational guidelines.
  • Notify supervisors and designated site contacts of incidents requiring additional attention.
  • Preserve accurate information regarding security-related events.

Reporting & Communication
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation accurately and on time.
  • Maintain clear communication with supervisors throughout the workday.
  • Document observations involving safety issues, suspicious activity, or operational concerns.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding client operations and sensitive information.

Customer Service
  • Provide courteous assistance to employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while on duty.
  • Build positive working relationships through respectful communication.
  • Always Represent Citadel Security USA with professionalism.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent observation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm while responding to changing situations.
  • Professional customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Successful completion required background screening.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous security, customer service, hospitality, or public-facing experience.
  • Experience conducting patrols and preparing incident reports.
  • Familiarity with commercial property security operations.
  • Knowledge of basic emergency response procedures.

Work Environment
  • Commercial office and construction-related property.
  • Combination of indoor and outdoor patrol responsibilities.
  • Regular standing, walking, and property inspections.
  • Frequent interaction with employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Fast-paced environment requires sound judgment and continuous awareness.
