The selected candidate will serve as a servant leader for Agile teams, facilitate Scrum ceremonies, remove impediments, coach teams toward self-organization, and support predictable delivery of business value.

This role requires strong facilitation, stakeholder management, conflict resolution, change management, and Agile coaching skills. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working within established Agile standards while helping teams mature, improve delivery practices, and build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.
  2. Serve as a servant leader and coach for Agile teams, helping them improve collaboration, delivery predictability, and Agile maturity.
  3. Remove team-level impediments and escalate organizational or systemic blockers as appropriate.
  4. Support team self-organization, ownership of commitments, and accountability for sprint goals and outcomes.
  5. Partner with Product Owners, Agile Coaches, and program stakeholders to align team execution with program priorities.
  6. Help teams navigate resistance to Agile practices and support cultural and mindset shifts.
  7. Address team conflicts and dysfunctions while fostering psychological safety, trust, and collaboration.
  8. Use retrospectives and team feedback to identify improvement opportunities and drive measurable action.
  9. Maintain transparency around risks, dependencies, impediments, and delivery progress.
  10. Operate independently in day-to-day team execution while following established Agile practices, playbooks, and organizational standards.

Required Qualifications

  1. Minimum of seven years of hands-on Scrum Master experience supporting multiple Agile teams.
  2. Experience working in complex, matrixed organizations.
  3. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification required; PSM II or higher preferred.
  4. Demonstrated ability to build self-organizing teams and improve team velocity, delivery predictability, and accountability.
  5. Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, stakeholder management, and change management skills.
  6. Experience coaching teams through Agile adoption, resistance, and maturity growth.
  7. Ability to work within established Agile playbooks, standards, and governance models.
  8. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Advanced Agile or Scrum certifications such as Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or SAFe Scrum Master.
  2. Experience supporting government, financial services, or highly regulated environments.
  3. Experience with enterprise Agile transformation, team coaching, and continuous improvement initiatives.
