  • Collaborate with Security, Architecture, Cloud, Infrastructure, and Application teams to achieve security and compliance objectives.
  • Implement and validate security controls in Unix/Linux environments.
  • Document remediation activities, implementation procedures, technical solutions, and operational runbooks.
  • Support production changes, troubleshooting, and emergency remediation activities as required.
  • Monitor infrastructure and remediation activities and provide status updates, risks, issues, and progress reports to project leadership.
  • Assist with infrastructure automation, monitoring, and CI/CD-related activities.
  • Troubleshoot complex Unix/Linux, networking, cloud, and infrastructure issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 6+ years of hands-on Unix/Linux administration experience.
  • Strong experience with Shell Scripting, including Bash, KornShell (KSH), and/or Python.
  • Proven experience in vulnerability remediation and security hardening.
  • Strong understanding of Linux/Unix security controls, patching, configuration, and compliance.
  • Working knowledge of AWS and cloud infrastructure.
  • Understanding of networking concepts and enterprise security controls.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, infrastructure automation, and monitoring solutions.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.
  • Experience working in enterprise production environments with formal change-management processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on cybersecurity remediation or compliance-driven infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with legacy infrastructure migration or decommissioning.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code and automation technologies.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional Security, Cloud, Infrastructure, and Application teams.
  • Familiarity with enterprise vulnerability management and security assessment tools.
  • Experience creating technical runbooks, remediation plans, and implementation documentation.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The strongest candidates will be hands-on Unix/Linux infrastructure engineers with a security mindset. Candidates should be able to independently troubleshoot Linux environments, write automation scripts, remediate vulnerabilities, harden systems, and work with security and cloud teams in a production enterprise environment.
