A healthcare technology organization is seeking a Staff/Lead Software Engineer to help launch a new AI-enabled platform focused on revenue cycle management, claims workflows, and healthcare operations. The organization is investing heavily in the next generation of AI-powered healthcare software and is searching for a senior engineering leader who can act as the technical anchor for a new platform. The engineering environment leverages AWS, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, event-driven architecture, modern databases, and emerging AI-agent technologies. This role combines hands-on engineering, product collaboration, and technical leadership within a highly visible initiative. Engineers on this team are expected to help determine what should be built, not simply execute requirements. - 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience leading architecture and technical direction
- Strong Python development experience
- JavaScript and/or TypeScript expertise
- Experience developing RESTful APIs and distributed systems
- Event-driven architecture experience
- Strong database design and SQL skills
- AWS cloud platform experience
- Experience collaborating directly with business stakeholders and product teams
- Strong communication and mentorship capabilities
