Job Description
We are seeking a Design Engineer III to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in RTL-to-GDSII low-power design, power analysis, and automation and a proven ability to analyze and reduce power, build scalable flows, and provide actionable guidance to RTL teams.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive power analysis across design stages from RTL to GDSII.
- Develop, improve, and automate power analysis flows, including large-scale data gathering and modeling.
- Investigate power inefficiencies and deliver feedback to RTL design teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with RTL-to-GDSII design flow usage and development in advanced nodes (7nm and below).
- Expertise in low-power implementation and signoff, including power gating, multiple voltage rails, and UPF.
- Hands-on power analysis and reduction using tools such as PrimeTime PX or PrimePower.
- Proficiency in scripting with emphasis on Python and ML/AI frameworks.
- Working knowledge of RTL design principles.
- Experience in RTL power optimization using tools such as PowerArtist.
- Ability to learn quickly, explore new ideas, and iterate to optimal results.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with synthesis and Place and Route (PnR) flows.
- Experience analyzing IP power characteristics and building runtime estimation models for software or firmware use.
- Skills in data analysis and modeling, including application of machine learning approaches.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science required.
- Master's degree preferred.
