Payment Systems Lead Developer

Introduction

We are seeking an experienced payment systems developer to lead and execute the migration of our transaction processing infrastructure from BASE24 Classic to BASE24-eps. This role requires deep technical expertise in both platforms, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams to ensure a successful transition with minimal business disruption.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing BASE24 Classic configurations, customizations, and transaction flows
• Convert custom transaction processing logic, authorization rules, and routing configurations to eps
• Develop and maintain migration scripts, data transformation utilities, and automation tools
• Design and implement interface adaptations for upstream and downstream systems
• Build and configure BASE24-eps transaction processing modules
• Design and execute detailed test plans including performance and load testing
• Create technical documentation and conduct knowledge transfer sessions
• Collaborate with various teams, vendors, and third-party providers
• Mentor junior team members on BASE24 technologies

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with BASE24 Classic
• Strong experience with BASE24-eps architecture (minimum 2 years preferred)
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, COBOL, and scripting languages
• Deep understanding of ISO 8583 message formats and payment card industry standards
• Experience with database technologies including Oracle, DB2, or SQL Server
• Knowledge of mainframe and distributed systems environments
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proven project management skills and commitment to quality

Preferred Qualifications

• ACI Worldwide certification in BASE24 Classic and BASE24-eps
• Experience with additional payment platforms such as Postilion or VisionPLUS
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk or Nagios
• Previous experience leading or participating in large-scale platform migration projects

Essential Skills: Below are the mandatory skills required. Experience in Non-Stop systems, EPS, C, Java, SQL (DALCI). Existing Nonstop System (Classic) uses TACL system with TAL and C-COBOL programming. New Nonstop System (EPS) uses DALCIGUI tools with C and SQL Programming languages. Domain Knowledge in Card Payments and Switch Interchange Processing.
