Summary

Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in human-computer interaction, psychology, sociology, anthropology, public health, social work, gerontology, healthcare administration, human services or a related field.
  • At least five years of UX research or human-centered-design experience.
  • At least three years of relevant experience in healthcare, long-term care, health and human services, social services, insurance or a related regulated service sector.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting:
  • Stakeholder interviews.
  • User interviews.
  • Research synthesis
  • Persona development.
  • Journey mapping.
  • Usability testing.
  • Experience conducting remote research and virtual workshops.
  • Experience developing user-research plans and protocols.
  • Experience translating complex research findings into actionable service and design recommendations.
  • Knowledge of privacy, informed consent and secure research-data handling.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the needs of older adults, people with disabilities, caregivers or public-benefit recipients.
  • Experience working under statutory, policy, privacy, accessibility or operational constraints.
  • Strong analytical, facilitation, documentation and presentation skills
  • Availability to work full-time during Phase 1 and active Phase 2 work orders.
 
Desired qualifications
  • Seven or more years of UX research or human-centered-design experience.
  • Graduate degree in HCI, psychology, public health, gerontology, social work or a related field.
  • Direct experience with long-term care or LTSS programs.
  • Experience with Medicaid, home- and community-based services or state-administered benefit programs.
  • Experience with “No Wrong Door” service-delivery models.
  • Experience researching services used by older adults, caregivers and people with disabilities.
  • Experience planning multilingual and accessible research.
  • Experience supporting national, interstate or portable-benefit programs.
  • Experience with Dovetail, UserZoom, UserTesting, Qualtrics, Optimal Workshop, Miro or Mural.
  • Experience defining UX baselines, KPIs and measurable outcomes.
  • Experience researching user trust and comprehension in AI-assisted services.
