The Business Analyst understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.

• Responsible for developing requirements and specifications that support the projects assigned to: business requirements, functional requirements, system requirements, and report specifications.
• Acts as a senior team member to ensure project continues to align with project charter and business cases.
• Develops manual and automated test scenarios and test cases for use in system and integration testing.
• Provides expertise to stakeholders on devising effective and efficient approaches to achieve the desired business outcomes.
• Provides expertise in the modelling/mapping of business processes; conducts as-is/to-be business processes, is instrumental in the business process re-engineering (BPR) and involved in the change management exercise.
• Writes and presents business cases.
• Occasionally required to work late evening and weekends as needed.

Education/Experience:

• College degree preferred, high school diploma required.
• Ability to manage and complete multiple, concurrent tasks with multiple user interfaces.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Assertive, flexible, pro-active, team player with a strong sense of ownership.
• Ability to manage ambiguity in business needs and requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with MS word, Excel and Visio
• Insurance experience a plus
• Understanding of automation, databases, tables and fields in order to pull SQL queries a big plus
