Role: Sr. DataStage Consultant
Location: Hybrid (Atlanta, GA)
Job Summary:
Bank is seeking a Senior DataStage Consultant with strong SQL expertise and hands-on experience integrating enterprise data platforms with Data Fabric solutions using internal and external APIs. The ideal candidate is highly self-driven, capable of working independently with minimal supervision, and experienced in designing scalable, secure, and high-performance data integration solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, and maintain complex ETL workflows using IBM InfoSphere DataStage.
· Develop and optimize advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
· Integrate enterprise data platforms with Data Fabric architectures.
· Build and consume REST/SOAP APIs (internal and external) for data ingestion and distribution.
· Design API-based data pipelines ensuring security, scalability, and performance.
· Collaborate with architecture and data governance teams to align with enterprise standards.
· Perform data mapping, transformation logic development, and validation.
· Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize ETL and database workloads.
· Provide production support and participate in release/deployment activities.
· Work independently to drive deliverables from requirements through implementation.
Required Skills:
· 7+ years of experience in IBM InfoSphere DataStage development.
· Strong proficiency in SQL (Oracle / SQL Server / DB2 – specify as needed).
· Hands-on experience integrating with Data Fabric platforms.
· Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and working with JSON/XML payloads.
· Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL design patterns.
· Experience with UNIX/Linux and shell scripting.
· Knowledge of API authentication mechanisms (OAuth, token-based auth, etc.).
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Must be onsite at client in Atlanta, Georgia 2-3 days/wk
