Visit the Employee Benefits page for more information Position Summary & Responsibilities: This is a senior position that will exist in the KSBN Technology Services (KSBN IT) and become part of the Operations team. This is technical work with device remediation and maintenance of agency applications.
Work includes but is not limited to assisting in the installation, tailoring, testing, documentation, and maintenance of applications. Analyze user requirements, procedures and problems to automate, improve existing systems, add additional features and review computer system capabilities, and workflows. Assist in finding alternative solutions for legacy applications associated with the platform. Attend weekly meetings as assigned. Create required documentation and reports for projects. Assist in technical tasks for implementations.
**Administration:** Provide day-to-day support and administration of KSBN enterprise application platforms. Work closely with agency staff, vendors, and stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, implement updates, and oversee support case activity. Coordinate testing for upgrades and major releases, ensuring functionality across departments. Manage the application lifecycle, including systems analysis, configuration, testing, change management, maintenance, and user communications.
**Training:** Complete platform administration training and maintain current knowledge of vendor resources and system enhancements. Develop training materials, conduct end-user training, and educate staff on new features and functionality.
**Tickets:** Maintain knowledge of agency-configured solutions to accurately document, troubleshoot, and triage issues. Provide end-user support, ticket intake, monitoring, and resolution assistance.
**Change Management:** Communicate system upgrades, maintenance, and changes to agency contacts. Submit and track change requests through KSBN processes.
**Documentation:** Create and maintain platform documentation, business process guides, and support materials. Document application changes, establish procedures, and promote best practices.
**Customer Service:** Serve as the primary point of contact for platform-related inquiries. Provide support via email, Teams, remote access, or in person. Resolve issues professionally, communicate effectively with users, and ensure timely follow-up. Build and maintain strong relationships with executives, staff, IT leadership, vendors, and stakeholders while safeguarding confidential information.
**Projects:** Provide technical support for platform-related projects, attend project meetings, prepare documentation and reports, and assist with system implementations.
**Application Support:** Support no-code/low-code applications by troubleshooting issues, assisting with maintenance and deployment, documenting solutions, collaborating with project teams, and contributing to knowledge base resources.
**Vendor Management:** Act as liaison between KSBN and software vendors, coordinating daily support activities, strategic planning, and long-term platform improvements.
**Other Duties:** Complete special projects and perform related duties as assigned, including supporting agency operations during emergencies or disaster events. Assist with technology procurement, asset management, and team assignments as needed.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science or relevant field. A combination of education, training, and experience may be substituted when competency in the role is demonstrated.
- 5 or more years' experience in information technology, Computer Science or relevant field.
- 3 or more years' direct experience utilizing the required skills listed above.
- Course work in Computer Science or relevant field.
- A combination of education, training, and experience may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
- 5 or more years technical proficiency in platform configuration, workflow automation, security controls, data management and problem solving and business analysis. Ability to provide technical support and troubleshoot problems. Experience with system security and performance.
- The ability to obtain and retain OITS Security Clearance is a requirement of employment and continued employment. Ability to obtain and retain a Kansas KCJIS Security Clearance is a requirement of employment and continued employment. Ability to obtain a valid Kansas Certificate of Tax Clearance is required.
Special knowledge, skills and abilities: - Proficiency in Microsoft, Linux, Cisco, System Automation or similar technologies is a plus
- Experience in Evoke, MyLicense Office, PreceptiveContent, SoftDocs, spreadsheets work desired.
