Position Overview

We are seeking an Oracle DBA to support enterprise database environments within a State Government agency. The selected candidate will manage database performance, implement backup and recovery processes, and ensure high availability. Experience working in compliance-driven environments is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases.
• Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies.
• Develop backup and recovery procedures using RMAN.
• Implement security patches and access controls.
• Troubleshoot database failures and performance bottlenecks.
• Support application deployments requiring database updates.
• Document database configurations and change management processes.
• Ensure compliance with security standards.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning.
• Collaborate with development teams.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Oracle DBA experience.
• Experience managing Oracle 12c/19c environments.
• Experience implementing backup and recovery strategies.
• Strong performance tuning skills.
• Experience supporting enterprise systems.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot critical incidents.
• Experience working in structured governance environments.
• Strong communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting public sector agencies.
• Experience with hybrid cloud database environments.
