An organization of data and technology consultants is seeking a Principal Solution Lead in the Eastern Time Zone, with a remote or hybrid US work arrangement. This role leads client-facing strategy and solution architecture for enterprise data, analytics, and AI initiatives across modern cloud environments.
About the Opportunity:
Responsibilities:
Lead solution architecture for scalable, secure data, analytics, and AI platforms across cloud environments
Partner with executive stakeholders and technical leaders to assess needs and define long-term platform roadmaps
Support technical pre-sales efforts by creating solution blueprints, estimates, proposals, and statements of work
Establish architectural standards, design patterns, and best practices for data pipelines, streaming, governance, and AI/ML integration
Guide implementation teams and mentor consultants across client engagements and the broader practice
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in data engineering, software development, or cloud consulting
4+ years of experience in a client-facing Solution Lead or Principal Architect role within a systems integrator or consulting environment
Hands-on expertise with Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Delta Live Tables, and PySpark
Proven experience with Snowflake architecture, performance optimization, and security or data sharing models
Experience with AWS and Azure cloud services for building and supporting data platforms
Strong Python programming skills for data pipeline development, orchestration, and custom software engineering
Excellent communication, storytelling, and negotiation skills with the ability to present technical concepts to business stakeholders

Snowflake SnowPro Core or Advanced Architect certification
AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Experience with generative AI, LLM orchestration, feature stores, and MLOps pipelines
Familiarity with dbt, Terraform, CI/CD automation, and data governance platforms such as Collibra or Alation
