Summary

Our direct client is looking for a Enterprise Application Architect for a Hybrid(3 days/week) Contract in Columbus, OH.

Note:
- Interviews will be via Microsoft Teams/Virtual.
- Hybrid role, minimum 3 days work on-site will be required at 30 West Spring Street,4th Floor, Columbus, OH 43215.

J0B DESCRIPTION:
- This position will support the OFCC application development group in the modernization of CMW from Perl/MySQL to Java/React/MariaDB on an AWS platform.

Day-to-Day responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- System Design & Architecture: In collaboration with the OFCC Development Lead develop overall software architecture, define components, select frameworks, and choose technologies.
- Technical Leadership: Guide development teams, provide direction, mentor junior developers, and oversee project execution.
- Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and align technical strategy with business goals.
- Code Quality & Standards: Lead code reviews, enforce design patterns, and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Troubleshooting & Optimization: Resolve complex technical issues, identify performance bottlenecks, and ensure system scalability and resilience.
- Documentation: Create and maintain architectural documentation, technical specifications, and design decisions.

Candidate should have experience in:
- Designing and architecting Java applications for an AWS environment
- Managing a large, mission-critical software implementation for a public owner
- Communicating, analyzing, and reporting on status, features, upgrades, backlog
- Using AI to facilitate application development and testing
- Application modernization on an AWS or Azure platform

SKILL MATRIX:
- Expert in all versions of the Perl Programming Language - Required
- Experience with Java, React full stack development - Required
- Experience with MySQL, MariaDB - Required
- Designing and architecting Java applications for an AWS environment - Required
- Managing a large, mission-critical software implementation for a public owner - Required
- Communicating, analyzing, and reporting on status, features, upgrades, backlog - Required
- Construction Management subject matter expertise - Strong Plus to have
