Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Business Process Management Analyst to support enterprise data platform initiatives through business and process analysis, documentation, knowledge management, and product operations.

This role translates business and mission needs into clear requirements, process documentation, and actionable product inputs, while ensuring platform knowledge is well-structured, accessible, and reusable. The ideal candidate excels in written communication and collaborates effectively across business, technical, data governance, and platform teams.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Process Analysis

·        Analyze and document business and mission use cases for the enterprise data platform.

·    Facilitate stakeholder discovery sessions to capture needs, pain points, constraints, and desired outcomes.

·     Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and product planning inputs.

·        Document current-state and future-state processes across data intake, access, governance, analytics, and operations.

·        Identify gaps, bottlenecks, ownership issues, and opportunities for process improvement and standardization.

Process Documentation & Standardization

·     Develop process maps, workflows, SOPs, decision trees, RACI matrices, and process guides.

·     Support definition of repeatable platform processes (e.g., intake, prioritization, onboarding, access requests, escalation).

Product Operations & Coordination

·    Support Product Owner with backlog management, intake tracking, prioritization, and dependency tracking.

·        Track requests, risks, issues, decisions, and action items.

·    Support sprint planning, roadmap discussions, stakeholder reviews, and governance forums.

·      Coordinate across cross-functional teams including engineering, data governance, security, and operations.

Documentation & Knowledge Management

·  Create and maintain product documentation, requirements, decision logs, meeting summaries, and knowledge assets.

·        Organize documentation repositories for ease of access and usability.

·   Establish and maintain documentation standards, naming conventions, and lifecycle practices.

·        Identify and remediate outdated, duplicative, or inconsistent content.

·     Convert technical inputs into clear, business-facing documentation and reusable knowledge assets.

·        Develop knowledge artifacts such as FAQs, templates, playbooks, and onboarding guides.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

·        Prepare executive summaries, product briefs, and stakeholder communications.

·        Track platform metrics, adoption indicators, and documentation quality measures.

·        Identify common patterns across use cases to inform reusable platform capabilities.

Position Requirements

Required Qualifications

·       Experience in business analysis, product analysis, process analysis, or product operations within technology environments.

·   Strong ability to gather, document, and synthesize stakeholder needs into actionable requirements.

·  Experience documenting business processes, workflows, and operational procedures (current and future state).

·        Proficiency in creating user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.

·        Excellent written communication skills for both business and technical audiences.

·     Experience developing documentation such as SOPs, requirements, decision logs, and stakeholder materials.

·        Ability to identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.

·  Experience managing or contributing to knowledge management systems and documentation repositories.

Preferred Qualifications

·        Experience supporting data platforms, analytics platforms, or cloud-based systems.

·        Familiarity with data governance, data access, metadata, and analytics workflows.

·        Experience with Agile methodologies, backlog management, and sprint planning.

·        Experience creating executive-level presentations and product documentation.

·        Background in process improvement, RACI development, or operational optimization.

·  Experience working in regulated or security-conscious environments (e.g., federal, financial).

·   Ability to identify reusable patterns across use cases and translate them into scalable platform capabilities.
