Senior Procurement Specialist (Only W2) - Local to Bay Area CA

Top Requirements

(Must haves)

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• 7–10 years of progressive experience in technology procurement, strategic sourcing, commercial negotiations, technology vendor management, or technology contracting.
• Demonstrated success independently leading technology sourcing initiatives and commercial negotiations with enterprise technology suppliers.
• Strong experience managing technology categories such as SaaS, AI, cloud, enterprise software, networking, telecom, cybersecurity, infrastructure, managed services, or professional services.
• Proven experience applying category management principles to optimize supplier portfolios and commercial outcomes.
• Strong understanding of technology pricing, software licensing, SaaS subscription models, cloud consumption models, and enterprise technology commercial constructs.
• Demonstrated ability to perform rigorous quantitative and qualitative bid analysis and translate findings into fact-based sourcing recommendations.
• Ability to understand business use cases and align procurement decisions with technology roadmaps, adoption strategies, and long-term business value.
• Strong commercial judgment with the ability to balance value optimization, techno-commercial risk, stakeholder priorities, and speed of execution.
• Demonstrated AI-first mindset with practical experience leveraging AI to improve procurement strategy, commercial analysis, negotiation effectiveness, and execution efficiency.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accountability for commercial outcomes and timelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting technology procurement within retail, e-commerce, omnichannel, supply chain, logistics, or distribution environments.
• Experience negotiating with leading enterprise technology suppliers (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce, SAP, AWS, Google Cloud, Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, ServiceNow, Adobe, Workday, Databricks, Snowflake, Okta, VMware/Broadcom, or similar).
• Experience using market benchmarking, competitive intelligence, and commercial analytics to develop sourcing and negotiation strategies.
• Familiarity with AI commercial models, SaaS licensing, cloud consumption pricing, and enterprise technology contracting.
• Experience with enterprise procurement, spend management, and contract management platforms such as Coupa, SAP, Ariba, DocuSign, Adobe Sign, or similar enterprise solutions.
