Summary

Job Title: Data Engineer (IICS & SQL Focused)
Location: McLean, VA
Work Mode: Fully Onsite 5 Days/Week
Employment Type: Contract (Potential for Extension)

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Data Engineer / Data Analyst with strong expertise in IICS and SQL to support data design, development, transformation, and analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience working across analytics, reporting, and data warehousing environments, with a strong focus on data quality, integration, and regulatory support.

Key Responsibilities

Data Design & Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions across analytics, reporting, and data warehousing environments.
  • Perform hands-on coding and development using IICS, SQL, Snowflake, Python, and SAS.
  • Build and support data models, data pipelines, and integration processes.

Data Transformation & Quality

  • Execute data migration, integration, and enrichment activities across complex data sets.
  • Perform data profiling, validation, and testing to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Support source-to-target mapping, reconciliation, and data validation activities.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Deliver high-quality analytical outputs and reports to support business and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop dashboards and visualizations using Tableau and other reporting tools.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.

Collaboration & Delivery

  • Work closely with business, engineering, and program teams to meet delivery milestones.
  • Document data designs, transformation logic, and testing outcomes clearly and consistently.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of data standards, governance processes, and controls.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with IICS (Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services) Mandatory
  • Advanced SQL development experience Mandatory
  • Experience with AWS and cloud-based data environments
  • Strong understanding of data modeling concepts
  • Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation
  • Experience with Snowflake and/or SAS is preferred
  • Familiarity with Tableau or similar reporting tools
