Summary

Our client is seeking a hands-on, technically versatile Robotics Application Integration (Deployment) Engineer to join their growing team. This is a full-time, on-site role ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of prototyping, deployment, and field testing. The selected candidate will own key systems that bridge development and real-world performance.

This opportunity serves as an elevated pathway for high-performing technical professionals with proven aptitude in mechatronics, system configuration, and cross-functional problem solving.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own and maintain our client's vehicle configuration library, ensuring reliable system operation across a wide range of vehicle makes, models, and trims.
  • Validate and enhance configuration performance, incorporating version control and scalable update methods.
  • Define and advocate for new features in tools and software to support scalability and fleet consistency.
  • Document and lead troubleshooting procedures across robotic subsystems.
  • Design and fabricate custom tools, fixtures, and hardware to improve safety, repeatability, and efficiency.
  • Assist with mechanical prototyping using 3D printing, welding, machining, and COTS part selection.
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to resolve system interface and performance issues.
Lead End-to-End Robotic System Assembly
  • Log engineering change orders (ECOs), document redlines, and recommend DFM/DFA improvements.
  • Apply best practices in system builds, including cable management, harnessing, and enclosure design.
  • Assemble and wire control panels, sensor arrays, and motion subassemblies.
  • Support commissioning and go-live activities for deployed robotic systems at customer sites.
Field Diagnostics & Continuous Improvement
  • Conduct field diagnostics and collect data to drive iterative improvements.
  • Identify critical spare parts, consumables, and recurring failure modes.
  • Support on-site pilot tests, customer demonstrations, and system deployments.
  • Train and mentor technicians on build procedures, equipment operation, and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience configuring electro-mechanical systems in real-world environments.
  • Strong skills in electrical wiring, mechanical assembly, and root cause troubleshooting.
  • Experience using CAD tools (preferably Onshape or SolidWorks) for design and documentation.
  • Working knowledge of Linux environments and command-line utilities.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Demonstrated initiative, resourcefulness, and a positive, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Hands-on experience with automotive tire changes and wheel balancing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Engineering Technology, IT, Mechatronics, etc.) or equivalent technical experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing, automation, or hardware startup environments.
  • Veteran or prior service experience, particularly with mechanical or vehicle systems.
  • Proficiency in creating test scripts, documenting procedures, and training others.
  • Familiarity with motion systems, sensors, and robotic subsystems.
