Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with Azure Support & Java

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with strong experience in Microsoft Azure cloud services and Java-based application development. This role blends software engineering and operations, with a focus on building reliable, scalable, and highly available systems. You’ll work closely with development, platform, and security teams to improve system reliability, performance, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain highly available and scalable systems on Microsoft Azure

• Apply SRE principles to improve reliability, availability, latency, and performance

• Develop and maintain Java-based services, tools, and automation

• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to support reliable releases

• Monitor systems using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, or similar tools

• Define and track SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets

• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and postmortems

• Automate operational tasks to reduce toil and improve efficiency

• Collaborate with development teams to improve system design and resiliency

• Ensure security, compliance, and best practices across cloud infrastructure

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of experience as an SRE, DevOps Engineer, or similar role

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (App Services, AKS, VM, Storage, Networking, etc.)

• Solid experience in Java development (Spring Boot / Microservices preferred)

• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes / AKS)

• Strong understanding of Linux systems and networking fundamentals

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, Bicep, or similar)

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)

• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
