Possible travel to Japan (for which expenses will be paid).

We need someone in West Coast or with the ability to support West Coast working hours and participate in occasional late-night meetings when required for global coordination.
Japanese skills are a plus!

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst / Product Analyst with deep expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), particularly in large-scale enterprise transformations. This role will play a key part in defining, documenting, and driving the transition from legacy, home-grown IAM/IGA platforms to a modern platform such as Saviynt across a complex global organization with thousands of applications and diverse user populations.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in IGA models, governance processes, compliance-driven access controls, business requirements gathering, workflow design, and transition planning, and will be able to translate business needs into actionable engineering and delivery tasks. This role requires close collaboration with product, architecture, engineering, operations, legal, compliance, audit, and testing teams to deliver scalable and compliant IAM capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Management

Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements for IAM and IGA capabilities.
Understand and document current-state and future-state processes for:
Access requests
Approvals
Joiner/Mover/Leaver processes
Certifications and access reviews
Self-service IAM capabilities
Role-based and policy-based access governance
Work with business stakeholders to understand how identity lifecycle and access governance processes operate across multiple departments, business units, and geographies.
Translate complex business requirements into clear user stories, epics, process flows, functional specifications, and engineering-ready tasks.
IGA Transformation & Transition Planning

Develop and support transition plans for large enterprises moving from legacy, home-grown IAM/IGA platforms to modern IGA platforms such as Saviynt.
Support migration strategy and phased onboarding for organizations with thousands of applications and complex entitlement structures.
Help identify functional and process gaps between current legacy capabilities and target-state Saviynt capabilities.
Partner with architects, design leads, and operations teams to define remediation actions, implementation tasks, validation steps, and production transition activities.
Saviynt Product & Capability Alignment

Demonstrate strong understanding of Saviynt IGA functions and product capabilities.
Maximize the use of out-of-the-box functionality, standard workflows, and available connectors wherever possible.
Support decisions on when to use standard product capabilities versus custom configuration.
Contribute to process and functional design for application onboarding, identity lifecycle management, access requests, approval workflows, certifications, and policy enforcement within Saviynt.
Governance, Risk, Compliance & Audit

Ensure IAM/IGA processes align with regulatory and control requirements, including:
SOX compliance
GDPR compliance
Internal controls and audit requirements
Work with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Audit teams to review proposed governance processes, document controls, and obtain approvals.
Understand audit expectations and support evidence collection, process transparency, and control documentation.
Help define and document governance processes for multiple workforce populations, including:
Internal employees
External users / contingent workers
Business partners
Suppliers / vendors
Other controlled-access identities
Account for country-specific legal, regulatory, and operational differences in identity governance, certifications, and access management processes.
Delivery, SDLC & Cross-Functional Coordination

Work within both Waterfall and Agile SDLC delivery models depending on program needs.
Collaborate with project managers and product teams to convert requirements into work plan items, milestones, and delivery tasks.
Work closely with:
Architects
Engineering teams
Design leads
Operations/support teams
Testers / QA
Define acceptance criteria, approval checkpoints, verification activities, and production readiness requirements.
Support gap identification, process design, solution validation, and production transition planning.
Documentation, Communication & Enablement

Produce high-quality documentation including:
Business requirements documents
Functional specifications
Process flows
Governance models
User guides
Operating procedures
Training and presentation materials
Clearly communicate process designs and decisions to business, technical, compliance, and leadership stakeholders.
Deliver strong presentations and facilitate workshops with global stakeholders.
Use common AI tools to improve efficiency across SDLC activities such as requirements drafting, documentation, process analysis, summarization, and delivery support.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM), with significant exposure to Identity Governance and Administration (IGA).
Proven experience working on enterprise IAM/IGA transformation initiatives, including migration from legacy platforms to modern IGA solutions.
Strong experience with Saviynt, including familiarity with key IGA capabilities, workflows, and connectors.
Deep understanding of:
Access request processes
Approval models
Joiner/Mover/Leaver lifecycle management
Access certifications and reviews
Segregation of duties / governance controls
Self-service IAM functions
Experience capturing requirements across complex organizations with multiple user populations and policy variations.
Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements such as SOX and GDPR.
Experience supporting audit processes and control documentation.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical tasks and project delivery work items.
Experience working with distributed/global teams across multiple countries and time zones.
Strong documentation, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
Ability to support West Coast working hours and participate in occasional late-night meetings when required for global coordination.

Preferred Qualifications
