Job description:

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer (DTAC) to support and enhance operational delivery for managed customer network environments. This role is responsible for executing and governing network changes, supporting incident resolution during change activity, and ensuring service stability across customer networks.

The position operates within a network operations and service delivery model, working closely with customers and internal teams to maintain consistent, reliable, and standards-based network services.

What You ll Do

Change Management & Execution

  • Execute and validate network change requests across routing and switching environments in accordance with approved implementation plans.
  • Provide technical support during scheduled and ad hoc maintenance windows.
  • Perform post-change validation to ensure service integrity, configuration accuracy, and minimal customer impact.
  • Maintain accountability for change execution outcomes and service stability during change activity.

Change-Related Incident Response & Troubleshooting

  • Troubleshoot routing, switching, and WAN-related issues to maintain or restore service during or following change activity.
  • Analyze logs, device behavior, and network conditions to identify root cause or contributing factors.
  • Support escalation workflows and maintain ownership of issue resolution through completion.

Operational Support & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with customers, NOC, engineering, and service delivery teams to coordinate network activities.
  • Communicate technical changes, risks, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders.
  • Support cross-functional efforts to maintain service reliability and operational consistency.

Process, Documentation & Standardization

  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for network operations and change execution.
  • Ensure operational documentation reflects current configurations, processes, and service standards.
  • Contribute to standardization of workflows and configuration practices.

Training & Mentorship

  • Train and mentor junior engineers on operational procedures, tools, and best practices.
  • Provide guidance during live change windows and troubleshooting scenarios.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 8+ years of experience in network engineering or network operations within enterprise or service provider environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
    • Layer 2/Layer 3 networking (VLANs, STP, trunking)
    • WAN/LAN environments and customer edge (CPE) devices
  • Experience executing and supporting network changes in controlled environments.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot network issues and support incident resolution workflows.
  • Experience working in multi-team operational environments (NOC, engineering, service delivery).
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.

Certification Requirements (Preferred / Strongly Recommended)

At least one of the following (or equivalent experience):

  • Cisco Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, or higher
  • SD-WAN Platforms / Certifications: Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela), Fortinet, VMware (Velocloud)
  • Juniper Certifications: JNCIA, JNCIS, or higher (Junos-based environments)

Equivalent hands-on experience with Cisco IOS/XE, SD-WAN platforms, or Junos may be considered in lieu of formal certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting managed network services (routers, switches, or similar).
  • Familiarity with:
    • Change management processes
    • Incident and escalation handling
    • Network monitoring tools (SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow)

Success Indicators

  • Accurate and consistent execution of network changes with minimal service disruption.
  • Timely resolution of incidents related to change activity with clear troubleshooting methodology.
  • Strong collaboration across teams and clear communication with stakeholders.
  • High level of service reliability within managed customer environments.
