Description

SAIC is currently seeking a Senior/Chief Cybersecurity professional to support the 559th Software Engineering Squadron in their efforts to obtain and maintain Authorities to Operate (ATOs) for critical Air Force weapon systems essential to National Defense. This position is based out of Oklahoma City, OK.

This is potentially a short-term position that may terminate in March/April of 2026. Target salary is $150-175k.

In this role, the cybersecurity professional will:
  • Provide technical advice to the Information System Security Engineers (ISSEs), Information System Security Officers (ISSOs), and Program Managers.
  • Utilize their expertise and knowledge to implement the System Security Plan, generate Security Assessment Reports,and conduct the necessary vulnerability scans required for obtaining and maintaining ATOs from the Authorizing Official (AO).
  • Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities and other cybersecurity tasks/requirements directly related to the authorization of Air Force systems.
  • The work performed in this role has a significant impact on our National Defense.

Project Management Responsibilities:
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for program staff, including developing job descriptions, coordinating candidate sourcing, conducting interviews, and selecting qualified personnel to meet program requirements.
  • Oversee onboarding and integration of new hires, ensuring alignment with customer mission objectives, contract deliverables, and organizational culture.
  • Partner with HR and leadership to address staffing needs, implement workforce planning strategies, and maintain optimal staffing levels to support ongoing and future program operations.

Qualifications

Qualifications - External
  • Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD.
    and nine (9) years or more experience; or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • DoD 8570.1-M IAM-3 certification (CISM, CISSP, GSLC, or CCISO).
  • Strong working knowledge of RMF.
  • Experience in applying security principles throughout the system development lifecycle, from requirements development to operational acceptance.
  • Experience in conducting information systems security assessments, evaluating IA and Cybersecurity controls, and supporting RMF activities.
  • Experience with operational Air Force or Space Force systems.
  • Proficiency with ACAS (Assured Compliance Assessment Solution).
