Job Title: Support System Administrator
Client: States of Texas
Location: Austin, TX (hybrid)
Job Summary:
The Support System Administrator will support the migration and modernization of end-of-life (EOL) systems by upgrading legacy Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments to supported versions. The role focuses on improving system security, performance, and operational stability.

Key Responsibilities:
Upgrade legacy systems to supported OS versions (Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, RHEL 5–9)
Support migration and modernization of EOL infrastructure
Ensure system security, performance, and availability
Troubleshoot OS-level issues across Windows and RHEL environments
Assist in planning and executing system upgrades and patches
Maintain documentation for system configurations and processes

Required Skills:
8+ years of experience with Windows Server and RHEL administration
Strong experience in OS upgrades, patching, and system support
Knowledge of legacy system migration and modernization
Troubleshooting and system performance tuning skills
