Role Overview

We are looking for Data Center Controls Engineers and Controls Technicians to support mission-critical data center environments.

This role focuses on building automation systems (BAS), HVAC controls, electrical monitoring, and infrastructure reliability within large-scale data centers.

You will work closely with operations, facilities, and engineering teams to ensure uptime, efficiency, and compliance across critical infrastructure systems.


Key Responsibilities

For Controls Engineer

  • Design, configure, and optimize Building Management Systems (BMS/BAS)
  • Develop and troubleshoot control logic, PLC programming, and automation workflows
  • Integrate systems like HVAC, CRAC units, chillers, UPS, and generators
  • Monitor and improve energy efficiency and system performance
  • Perform root cause analysis for system failures and implement fixes
  • Work with vendors and internal teams for system upgrades and commissioning
  • Ensure compliance with data center standards and safety protocols

For Controls Technician

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot BMS/BAS systems
  • Perform routine inspections of HVAC, electrical, and control systems
  • Diagnose faults in sensors, actuators, controllers, and field devices
  • Support commissioning and calibration of control systems
  • Respond to alerts, alarms, and system failures
  • Maintain logs, documentation, and preventive maintenance records
  • Assist engineers in system upgrades and testing

Must-Have Skills 

  • Building Management System (BMS) OR Building Automation System (BAS)
  • HVAC Controls
  • PLC Programming OR Control Systems
  • SCADA OR Electrical Monitoring Systems
  • Data Center Infrastructure

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, UPS systems
  • Familiarity with Modbus, BACnet, LonWorks protocols
  • Experience in mission-critical / hyperscale data centers
