Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem to lead the modernization of our build, release, and infrastructure automation processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (Bicep), CI/CD pipeline design, and migrating legacy applications and deployment processes into modern cloud-native DevOps practices.
This role requires someone who can architect and implement scalable DevOps solutions while working with both modern cloud applications and legacy technologies, including Microsoft Access-based applications and traditional deployment models.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Modernize existing build and release processes across multiple applications.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Azure Bicep.
• Build automated deployment solutions for Azure App Services, Azure Functions, APIs, SQL Databases, Storage Accounts, Key Vaults, and other Azure resources.
• Streamline deployment processes for both modern cloud applications and legacy applications, including Microsoft Access-based solutions.
• Implement deployment automation for hybrid environments.
• Create reusable Azure Bicep modules and deployment templates.
• Design branching strategies and release management processes.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
• Configure secure deployment pipelines with approvals, environment gates, and security controls.
• Integrate automated testing, code quality, and security scanning into CI/CD pipelines.
• Optimize build performance and deployment reliability.
• Manage Azure subscriptions, resource groups, networking, and identity integration.
• Troubleshoot deployment failures, infrastructure issues, and pipeline bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement DevOps best practices.
• Support application modernization initiatives from legacy platforms to Azure.
• Create technical documentation, deployment guides, and operational runbooks.
• Mentor junior DevOps engineers and establish DevOps standards across projects.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Automation experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure experience.
• Strong expertise with Azure DevOps Services.
• Extensive experience developing Infrastructure as Code using Azure Bicep.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong PowerShell scripting experience.
• Experience with Git version control and branching strategies.
• Experience deploying:
o Azure App Services
o Azure Functions
o Azure SQL
o Azure Storage
o Azure Key Vault
o Azure API Management
• Strong understanding of Azure networking.
• Experience with Azure Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Experience implementing secure DevOps practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience modernizing legacy Microsoft Access applications.
• Experience integrating legacy applications into automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with ARM Templates and Terraform.
• Experience with GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Experience with Docker and containerization.
• Experience with YAML pipeline development.
• Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
• Experience implementing DevSecOps practices.
• Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400, or equivalent).
