Job#: 3011940 Job Description:Senior Systems Safety EngineerClearance: Secret (Interim acceptable to start)Work Schedule: 9/80Location: Onsite - U.S. Citizenship RequiredOverviewWe are seeking a Senior Systems Safety Engineer to support safety engineering, system-level assessment, and risk-mitigation activities across complex defense and mission-critical systems. The role requires broad engineering expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to lead and manage safety efforts in a highly regulated environment.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
- Minimum 8+ years of relevant Systems Engineering or Safety Engineering experience.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- System Safety Engineering
- Systems Engineering
- Software or Firmware Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Equivalent engineering disciplines supporting safety programs
- Ability to lead technical activities and provide direction to safety personnel.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; candidates may start un-cleared or with an interim, depending on program requirements.
Desired Qualifications- Experience with command and control systems or combat-system architectures.
- Familiarity with DoD System Safety Programs, processes, and documentation.
- Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and proposal development activities.
- Strong technical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication capabilities.
- Strong interpersonal and project-management abilities, including managing safety programs.
- Experience collaborating across multiple teams, contracts, or locations.
- Master's degree in a STEM discipline preferred.
