Job Title: Senior Load Balancer Engineer

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM EST
We are hiring a Senior Load Balancer Engineer to join our client s Network Engineering and Application Delivery team on a contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of the most innovative banking institutions in the U.S. You ll play a critical role in designing and supporting highly available, enterprise-grade load balancing solutions that power mission-critical financial applications.
Design, build, and maintain complex load balancing solutions using F5 technologies
Configure and manage F5 LTM (Local Traffic Manager) and GTM/DNS modules
Develop and implement advanced F5 iRules to control traffic flow, manipulate HTTP headers, and optimize application delivery
Architect high-availability and disaster recovery solutions for enterprise banking platforms
Troubleshoot network, application, and performance issues related to load balancing and traffic routing
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery
Automate operational tasks using Python and other scripting languages
Perform performance tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning for F5 infrastructure
Ensure compliance with security, governance, and enterprise standards
8+ years of experience in load balancing and application delivery engineering
Expert-level hands-on experience with:
F5 LTM
F5 GTM / DNS
F5 iRules
Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts including SSL/TLS, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, routing, and switching
Strong programming/scripting experience in Python (mandatory), along with Java, TCL, JavaScript, jQuery, or Perl
Experience with traffic manipulation, header rewriting, persistence profiles, and SSL offloading
Proven troubleshooting experience in complex enterprise environments
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Hourly Rate: $65.00 $70.00 per hour
This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
