Senior Power BI Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Power BI Developer in San Antonio, TX.

Summary:
We are seeking a Power BI Developer to design, build, and support external customer-facing dashboards and reports that deliver clear, secure, and reliable insights. This role partners with product, customer success, and technical teams to translate business requirements into intuitive Power BI experiences while ensuring data accuracy, performance, and appropriate access controls for users outside the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
External Dashboard & Report Development:
* Design, develop, and enhance external-facing Power BI dashboards and reports that present complex data clearly and professionally for customers
* Create interactive reporting experiences using filters, drill-down/drill-through, and bookmarks to help customers explore KPIs and trends
* Build and maintain standardized KPI scorecards and customer-ready visualizations aligned to defined metric definitions
* Lead discovery sessions with stakeholders to define customer dashboard objectives, KPIs, and reporting requirements
* Conduct structured stakeholder reviews and demonstrations, capture feedback, document outcomes, and deliver enhancements through iterative development cycles

Data Integration & Modeling:
* Ingest, transform, and model data from approved sources such as SQL Server, data warehouses, and other enterprise systems
* Build scalable semantic data models that support consistent analytics, governance, and reuse across multiple customer dashboards
* Develop calculated columns and measures using DAX to support customer-facing metrics

REQUIREMENTS:
* Proven experience delivering Power BI dashboards and reports end-to-end, including publishing and ongoing support
* Experience integrating data from SQL Server and/or enterprise data warehouse environments
* Strong proficiency in data modeling and DAX (measures and calculated columns)
* Ability to translate business requirements into intuitive, customer-friendly dashboards

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
