Contract-to-Hire | 100% Onsite (Mon-Fri)Location: South AustinOverviewWe are seeking a Retail Application Support Technician to support and enhance a newly implemented cloud-based POS system and its integrated third-party applications. This role focuses on advanced application troubleshooting, project support, and becoming the subject matter expert for retail systems.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Tier 2+ support for retail POS software and integrated third-party applications (e.g., ERP, payment processors, supply chain tools).
- Troubleshoot complex incidents involving internet, transaction flow, and application integrations.
- Support high-pressure issues where store associates cannot complete customer transactions.
- Perform occasional hardware troubleshooting (iOS devices, card readers, handhelds).
- Document processes, troubleshooting steps, and partner/vendor handoffs.
- Assist with project work, including regression testing and application change validation.
- Collaborate with internal teams (IT Ops, Networking, SAP/ERP teams) and external vendors.
- Help absorb first-level support responsibilities temporarily during vendor transitions.
Top Skills & Experience- 3-5 years of enterprise application support, specifically supporting complex third-party SaaS in a corporate environment (beyond M365/AD/Okta).
- Experience with Retail POS applications OR equivalent high-urgency application support (e.g., executive "white glove" support).
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to take on new technical challenges.
- Basic hardware support skills.
- Excellent documentation and communication abilities.

- Testing or QA/project experience
- Light project management exposure

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
