CTG is seeking to fill a Software Engineer II opening for our client.

Location: Remote
Duration: 12 months

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise software applications and system enhancements.
  • Perform systems analysis, application design, coding, debugging, and implementation for complex technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements through user acceptance testing.
  • Lead technical efforts on medium to large-scale projects and mentor junior developers.
  • Develop technical specifications, documentation, test plans, and project estimates.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement performance improvements.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, development standards, and software solutions.
  • Ensure applications meet security, risk, compliance, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable software solutions.

Scope of Responsibilities:
  • Independently perform high-level systems analysis and software development activities.
  • Lead technical workstreams and coordinate project activities for development teams.
  • Partner with technology leaders, business users, vendors, and cross-functional teams to deliver business-critical solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and serve as a subject matter resource on assigned projects.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:
  • No direct people management responsibilities.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and project coordination for junior team members as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree with 5+ years of systems analysis and application development experience, or 7+ years of combined education and professional experience, including at least 5 years of application development.
  • Strong background in Software Engineering, Database Technologies, and Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting enterprise applications.
  • Knowledge of software development tools, application architecture, and system integration concepts.
  • Experience with database technologies and application development platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working closely with business stakeholders to define and implement technical solutions.
  • Proven ability to coordinate project milestones, technical deliverables, and development activities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with enterprise application frameworks and integrated systems.
  • Knowledge of financial services or other highly regulated industries.
  • Advanced understanding of application architecture and enterprise software ecosystems.
  • Experience serving as a technical lead on cross-functional projects.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in Agile environments.
  • Strong multitasking skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $46.64 - $77.74/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefits package is also offered.
