Summary

Role: Program Planning & Scheduling Analyst
Duration: 7 Months Contract-W2
Location: San Diego, CA (On-Site)
Work hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM M-F
Terms: W2 position
Work authorization: Candidates must hold an Active Secret US security clearance.

We are seeking a Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst for our client in the Defense & Space Manufacturing industry.

Position summary:

  • Prepares, develops and coordinates the integrated master plan and integrated master schedule to meet all program objectives.
  • Ensures major projects and program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality.
  • Tracks plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts.
  • Utilizes Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas. 

Basic qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and experience developing/maintaining Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
  • Active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret (TS) and/or Special Compartmented Information Access (SCI) is frequently required.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and project management principles.
  • Level 4 experience a plus. 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Previous experience working for an aerospace and defense company.
  • Experience with specialized tools, including Deltek Cobra and Deltek Acumen Risk.
  • Expert-level MS Project skills and Excel Macro/VBA skills.
  • Experience with Resource Loaded Schedules (RLS), Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA).
  • Direct experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and familiarity with DCMA health metrics.
